When you remove a protected machine from the Backup Manager, this also deletes all of the Disk Safes associated with the machine. Deleting the protected machine will prevent any tasks associated with it from running. Follow the instructions below to delete a protected machine from Server Backup Manager.

Notice
If a protected machine has associated Policies, it cannot be removed.

1. In the Main menu, click Protected Machines. The Protected Machines page displays all of the protected machines currently in use.

Tip
To find a protected machine, you can use the Search bar at the top of the Protected Machines page. You can also click the Advanced Filter link to open the Advanced List Filter window and perform a more advanced search.

2. To delete the existing protected machine from the Backup Manager, click the corresponding Actions icon for the machine you want to delete and select Delete Protected Machine.

3. Confirm your request to delete the protected machine in the Backup Manager by clicking the Delete button in the Delete Protected Machine window.

If there is a Disk Safe already created or attached to the protected machine, the following warning message displays:

To delete the Disk Safes along with the machine, select the Delete Disk Safes from Disk check box before clicking the Delete button.

The protected machine is deleted and no longer displays on the Protected Machines screen.
